Laminate floors ter Hurne
ter Hürne laminate flooring consists almost entirely of wood, so it is plastic-free and free of harmful ingredients such as plasticizers and chlorine. It is ecologically harmless and supports a healthy home environment. This is confirmed by the Blue Angel seal and the eco-INSTITUT.
We use wood from sustainable forestry for its construction. From this we produce the core of your laminate floor – its base.
Because of our 60 years of experience as a hardwood flooring manufacturer, we design our laminate flooring with knowledge of natural wood. Taking wood as a model, we created deceptively real decorative patterns, surface structures and forms.
Our laminate is mainly composed of biomass. A main component is the composite base wood. This consists of densely compressed wood fibers. Even the glue we use comes largely from the resins present in wood.
One cubic meter of wood stores one ton of CO₂. It doesn't matter if the wood is big or small. The biomass we use comes from wood whose shape and size make it unusable for engineered flooring or hardwood furniture. Therefore, we use resources that would otherwise decay over time in the forest or be used for heating. In these cases, however, the material releases the previously stored CO2 into the atmosphere.
Our laminate flooring is positive for the climate. This means we use less CO₂ in its production than it stores. This is how we contribute to our world together.
